Sevilla coach Joaquin Caparros has announced he has been diagnosed with chronic leukaemia.Caparros, 63, broke the news in his post-match press conference following Sevilla’s 2-0 win at Real Valladolid on Sunday.1

What I do want to say is that I won’t talk about the subject more. But I want to make sure everyone remains calm.”Caparros was appointed as Sevilla’s director of football last May, and also assumed the role of caretaker head coach in March following the dismissal of Pablo Machin.
