Jadon Sancho has revealed a “crazy” amount of clubs wanted to sign him before he joined Borussia Dortmund.The youngster signed for the Bundesliga outfit for 8million in 2017 after struggling to break through the ranks at Manchester City.4

Sancho is having a superb breakthrough season for Dortmund

It speaks for itself: youngsters get opportunities. Youve got to thank Dortmund, because its unheard of for a team that gets 80,000 fans at every home game to put so much faith in youngsters.“It was crazy how many clubs wanted me it shows how well youre doing, but I always felt Dortmund was right for me.”4

Sancho now has three senior England caps

Sancho also admitted the move abroad was a gamble and really could have gone either way.He claimed:Of course it was a big risk. I wasnt guaranteed playing time, and I had to prove I was good enough to fit in with their side.“A few people werent sure when I first told them about Dortmund, but I felt this was the best journey for me. Just try it, you know?4

“I like trying new things, so it didnt really faze me. A few asked me, What if it doesnt work out? but I never thought about that. And look at how its worked out now.”Sancho has been a key figure in his club’s impressive league campaign so far, withLucian Favre’s side leading Germany’s top-flight by seven points after 20 matches.
